Visitor Centre The RSGS Fair Maid's House Visitor and Education Centre is a geographical delight housed in the oldest secular building in Perth. Visitors can watch the planet from space in the Earth Room, see the continents evolve and learn about the hottest and coldest places on Earth in the Education Room and learn about maps and explorers, or curl up with a book, in the Explorer's Room. Admission is Free (donations are very welcome!). The Visitor Centre is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday 12:30 - 4:00pm until 10th October 2026 Admission is by donation to RSGS. The centre is manned entirely by volunteers, so if you are planning a special journey you may wish to check in advance that it will be open. Groups can request a special visit at other times, when normal conditions apply. Email us at [email protected] or phone us on 01738 455050 for further information about visiting. We are currently looking for more volunteers for the Fair Maid's House Visitor Centre to provide a warm welcome and encourage people to explore the Centre, learning about RSGS and geographical issues, and gaining some insight into the Collections and wider work of the Society. If you would like to learn more about volunteering, please email us at [email protected]; we would be delighted to hear from you.
